    Active Vertical Correctors (AVC) Communiqué

Active Vertical Correctors, a combination of an acrylic posterior bite block and repelling magnet forces, are designed so the intrusive force aids in the closing of skeletal anterior open bites. The magnets are encased in stainless steel containers and embedded into the acrylic splints. Angled buccal flanges are added to stabilize the appliance during lateral jaw movement.

Adjuncts such as an upper expansion screw and clasps can be added. A soft chin cup with strap is available for nighttime wear.
